What are the vouchers used for?
The BANCOTEL Voucher Book consists of vouchers that can be used as payment with especially favourable conditions. They are accepted by all hotel establishments selected by Bancotel, depending on availability. They are also accepted by other tourist services: theme parks and amusement parks (Isla Mágica in Seville, Universal Port Aventura in Tarragona, Warner Bros Park in Madrid, Parque de Atracciones and Zoo Aquarium in Madrid, Parque Acuático Aquopolis in Madrid, Costa Dorada, Seville, Torrevieja, Cullera and Huelva, Terra Mítica in Benidorm, Selwo Aventura in Estepona, Walvo in Valladolid and Faunia in Madrid); the Europcar rental car service; Esteban Rivas S.A., which rents luxury vehicles with chauffeurs; Helicópteros Air Garden in Barcelona; and Granada On-line in Granada. Who can use the Voucher Book?
Once the Voucher Book has been purchased, any legitimate bearer of the vouchers can use them. That is to say, the person who purchases the Voucher Book does not necessarily have to be the same person who uses the vouchers. Return

Where and when can the Voucher Book be used?
In all authorized establishments, at the times and under the conditions that are indicated in the calendar found in the current Bancotel web, brochures and guides. Phone us or send us an e-mail if you need to know which establishments accept Bancotel vouchers on a given date. We must remind you that the validity of the Voucher Book cannot be extended. The expiration date is printed on the vouchers. After this date, any unused vouchers will be automatically cancelled without any possibility of refund or exchange. Once again, please contact us and we will tell you the current expiration date (they are now valid for two years and they normally expire in March, depending on what year they were issued). Return

How much does a Voucher Book cost?
Beginning this year, 2006, Bancotel customers will be able to choose between two different Voucher Book formats to better suit their needs. One of them costs 250 Euros; it includes four 50€ vouchers and five 10€ vouchers. The other Book costs 150€, offering two 50€ vouchers and five 10€ vouchers.

two 50€ vouchers and five 10€ vouchers

This way, we offer you a wider range of hotels and services with the Bancotel Voucher Book. With the new 10€ vouchers, you can make reservations for 60€ (50€ + 10€), 70€ (50€ + 2 x 10€), etc... Return

Where can I purchase BANCOTEL Voucher Books?
Directly from us! Send us an e-mail to obtain further information by simply clicking on the BANCOTEL icon. We can furnish you with complete Voucher Books or you can purchase only the vouchers that you need. To do so, you may contact one of our agencies and we will send you the vouchers that you need by courier service. We can also send you an agency voucher that can be exchanged for the BANCOTEL vouchers in the first hotel where you have made a reservation (only valid for complete Voucher Books). Return

Where and how do you exchange a Travel Agency Voucher for the Voucher Book?
If you have purchased Voucher Books through a Travel Agency Voucher, you may exchange your Travel Agency Voucher for the BANCOTEL Voucher Books at any of the establishments accepted by Bancotel in Spain, Portugal and Andorra, and at hotels or other companies that provide services through Bancotel Voucher Books. At foreign hotels you will need to present the Vouchers themselves or a special exchangeable voucherfax. The voucherfaxes are issued by Bancotel and can be purchased at your travel agency. Return

Does the price include VAT?
Generally, the price of the voucher books does not include VAT or other indirect taxes that are in effect. These taxes must be paid directly to the establishments by the bearer of the vouchers. VAT is applied to the value of the vouchers used. Hotel establishments in Spain apply 7% VAT. Return

What are the requirements to use the Voucher Book?
Once you have purchased the Voucher Book, each voucher is payable to the bearer. Therefore, vouchers which have been lost or stolen will not be refunded.

In short, there are two essential requirements – you must be the bearer of the voucher and the voucher must be valid (not expired).

In addition, with regards to each authorized establishment, use of the Voucher Book is subject to prior confirmation of the reservation and availability. Voucher holders can confirm their reservation directly with the establishment, through the Bancotel reservation service (+34 902 877 877), on the Bancotel website (http://www.bancotel.com) or through our travel agency (consult us by phone/fax or e-mail.). When requesting the reservation, you must specifically indicate that the bill will be paid with BANCOTEL vouchers. Likewise, when you arrive at the establishment you must confirm this at reception. If you do not comply with these conditions, the establishment may charge the official rates. Return

Can groups use the vouchers?
Normally, group reservations are not accepted, although the final decision is left to the establishment itself. With regards to hotel reservations, more than five rooms is considered a group. Return

Do you need to have reservations beforehand?
The exceptional price of the voucher books logically creates a high demand that often – especially during high seasons – leads to the establishments and services included in the program being fully booked. Therefore, we recommend you to reserve as early as possible. Once the reservations have been confirmed, if you are not going to use them we also urge you to cancel as quickly as possible. You do not have to pay any fees or surcharges for cancellations. Return

Is the calendar of availability that is found in Bancotel brochures definitive?
This is not a calendar of availability, but rather an initial guide as to when you can make Bancotel reservations at a given hotel establishment. You should check availability through Bancotel’s customer attention service (+34 902 877 877), at their website http://www.bancotel.com or through our travel agency (you can consult us by phone/fax or e-mail.). Bancotel always tries to keep the calendar of offers for each hotel updated. Many hotels, upon seeing that they have fewer reservations than anticipated, open new periods for the usage of voucher books and make more rooms available for customers using them. Return

CONDICIONES PARTICULARES PARA ESTABLECIMIENTOS HOTELEROS

1. Each voucher gives the bearer the right to one day of lodging in a double room for two people in the chosen establishment, subject to availability. Depending on the category of the hotel and its calendar of voucher use, which is listed in current brochures and guides or can be consulted by e-mail, one or more vouchers or a combination of them may be used.

If you have requested it upon confirming the reservation, the hotel will provide the bearer of the voucher with a cot or an extra bed free of charge in the same room for a maximum of two children under 12. This is subject to availability within the program. As an exception, some hotels may at times offer this service for only one child. It is therefore necessary to confirm this when making your reservation.

2. The voucher is only valid for lodging. It does not cover extra services that are not included in the price of the room, VAT, I.G.I.C. or other fees, which will be charged directly to the customer by the hotel establishment.

3. The voucher book can be used to pay for one or more rooms on the same day or on different days.

4. Reservations are guaranteed until 18:00 on the date of arrival at the hotel. If voucher holders wish to guarantee their reservations after that time, they must contact the hotel directly. The hotel may require guarantees in order to maintain the reservation. Return
